Share the Trail is a free trail safety event on Saturday, May 30 from 8:30–11:30 a.m. at Hudson Gardens along the popular Mary Carter Greenway Trail in Littleton. Ride your bike, jog, walk or roll to this fun and educational event for the entire family, including friendly dogs.
Entertainment, free bicycle services and giveaways are planned to help promote awareness of trail etiquette and safety for all who utilize the trail. Giveaways will include dog treats and leashes, trail maps, bike bells and lights, and other accessories geared to trail safety. For a map of the event, visit www.sspr.org.
The event is presented by South Suburban Parks and Recreation and the City of Littleton and Hudson Gardens, and includes the following partners: Pedal, Giant Cycling World, and Littleton Adventist Hospital.
Share the Trail is a community event that promotes a companion trail safety awareness campaign, initiated in 2013 that featured a similar event, also held along the Mary Carter Greenway Trail. The location was purposely chosen, as the Mary Carter Greenway is the most highly-used trail in the District, and is popular among commuters, bike and running enthusiasts as well as walkers and their dogs.
The event takes place at the picnic shelter at Hudson Gardens, 6115 South Santa Fe Dr., Littleton. Access is available from the Mary Carter Greenway Trail. For those arriving by car, complimentary onsite parking also is available at the Hudson Gardens parking lot.
