Due to health concerns within the department, the Community Development Department will be conducting operations remotely until January 18, 2022. During this time, walk-in transactions and in-person appointments will not be available. The department will continue to provide all services virtually, including phone, email, electronic application submission and virtual meetings. Field inspections will also continue to be conducted as normal. Thank you for your patience as we strive to continue providing excellent service while insuring the safety of both our employees and customers..
Littleton's city planners are responsible for developing and updating the city’s comprehensive plan and its various elements; for implementing the comprehensive plan through the review of development and rezoning applications, and through the writing, updating, and implementing of land use regulations, including zoning.
Before looking for zoning information, first ask - Am I within the city boundaries?
Just because the postal mailing address is "Littleton" doesn't mean that the address is actually within Littleton's jurisdiction. See the Littleton city limits map to search for an address. To find your Littleton zone district, search the Littleton Zoning Map & Look-Up Tool. View the Current Zoning Map (pdf) or Repealed Zoning Map (pdf).
Development Activity List (DAL)
Current development applications are available to view on the city website via the Development Activity List listing all development applications from concept through fruition. Visit www.littletongov.org/dal or click on the blue button from the city's homepage.
A pre-application meeting benefits the applicant by giving them the opportunity to present basic information to staff representatives from the Community Development, Public Works, and Fire Departments. The applicant will receive general comments on the feasibility of the plan, the process(es), submittal requirements and fees required to process and review the plan. For more information on how to request a pre-application meeting, visit the Development Application and Operating Standards page, speak with a Planner on Call at 303-734-8076, or email DRT@littletongov.org.
